Vernon Davis Passed on 'Dancing with the Stars'

Posted Apr 4, 2014

San Francisco 49ers tight end told MMQB.com that he was too busy to appear on a popular reality TV show.

Vernon Davis passed on appearing in the latest season of Dancing with the Stars.

Robert Klemko of MMQB.com recently caught up with a couple of notable NFL stars, including the San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowl tight end, to detail their off-the-field aspirations in the offseason.

In the process, Klemko discovered that Davis declined to appear on the dancing competition that once featured 49ers Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice.

“If it’s something I think I’ll be overwhelmed with, I won’t do it,” Davis told Klemko. “I got an offer to do Dancing With the Stars this year but couldn’t, even though it was a beautiful opportunity. I have a feel for [the demands] now. I know what could be too much for me.

“I feel like in life you keep reaching and reaching until you can’t anymore. I take every opportunity because that’s what life is all about, especially if you’re building positive relationships.”

Davis’ off-the-field interests, which includes running his own foundation and art gallery, also prohibited the tight end from attending the NFL's player engagement seminar.

If you follow Davis on social media, you already know that he's the busiest man on the roster.

Although Davis declined appearing on the show, it begs the question, which member of the 49ers would be the best contestant on DWTS? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
