Patrick Willis Touched by Young Fan's B-Day Invite

Posted Apr 28, 2014

San Francisco's seven-time Pro Bowl linebacker is always responding to his fans on Twitter, even a 6-year-old who invited Willis to her birthday party.

If you send a tweet to Patrick Willis (@PatrickWillis52), there's a good chance the San Francisco 49ers linebacker will respond. He might even give you a re-tweet if you're repping his jersey or offering kind words.

San Francsico's seven-time Pro Bowl linebacker does a great job of recognizing loyal fans and did so once again by recently acknowledging a birthday invitation from a 6-year-old fan.

Elizabeth Penados of Suisun City asked Willis to attend her "Frozen" birthday party on April 23.

"Best invitation ever," Willis wrote on Twitter. "Thank you Elizabeth Penados my soon to be 7yr old friend."

Bay Area TV station KTVU caught up with the young 49ers fan to learn more about her invitation and what made Willis her favorite player.

"He likes to crush people," Penados said.

Here's the video of Penados' reaction to Willis' social media response.

Willis was unable to attend the party, but he did send flowers and a thoughtful card to his fan.

"Happy birthday Elizabeth! I am sorry I couldn't make it today but I wanted to wish you a day full of fun! Thanks for being a great fan, I truly appreciate your support!" - Patrick
