Posted Apr 24, 2014

The San Francisco 49ers divisional rivals have their own slate to sort through. We cut through the clutter and deliver the takeaways from these teams' schedules.

The NFL's release of the season schedule on Wednesday has repercussions beyond the Bay Area.

The San Francisco 49ers competition in the NFC West have their own slate to sort through.

We cut through the clutter for you.

Arizona Cardinals

Strength: Eighth-hardest  among 32 NFL teams.

Bye: Week 4.

Quirk: Every divisional team besides the 49ers will be idle after three games. If there's an advantage to this, it belongs to San Francisco: Jim Harbaugh and Co. will be able to rest up and press the reset button after seven games, much closer to the season's halfway point.

Matchups: The Cards host the 49ers in Week 3 and visit Levi's® Stadium in Week 17.

Schedule: Here.

St. Louis Rams

Strength: Third-hardest.

Bye: Week 4.

Quirk: St. Louis is the only NFC West squad that will have to spend three straight games away from home. They're not easy games either: at Kansas City, at San Francisco and at Arizona.

Matchups: The Rams host the 49ers in Week 6 and visit Levi's® Stadium in Week 9.

Schedule: Here.

Seattle Seahawks

Strength: Sixth-hardest.

Bye: Week 4.

Quirk: Like San Francisco, Seattle plays four primetime games, including their Thanksgiving night matchup in Santa Clara. In fact, three of the Super Bowl champs four bright-lights games will be on the road.

Matchups: The Seahawks visit Levi's® Stadium in Week 13 and host the 49ers in Week 15.

Schedule: Here.
