Morning Tailgate: Harbaugh Pleased with WRs

Posted Oct 10, 2013

Jim Harbaugh said the 49ers wide receivers are "coming along" as a group and continue to work hard at practice.

Anquan Boldin leads the 49ers wide receivers with 26 catches, 393 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

The other wideouts on San Francisco’s roster have a combined 13 catches for 106 yards and no touchdowns.

The production from the group, however, is not a concern to Jim Harbaugh.

“I think our guys are coming along fine,” the 49ers coach said. “I feel very good about the way they’re prepared, all of our guys at every position. I feel good about the way they’re working, the way they’re preparing, the competitive nature they have, the desire to win, really has been plus-plus from our players.”

The 49ers face the Arizona Cardinals and the NFL’s No. 19 pass defense this weekend at Candlestick Park.

Harbaugh believes the work of the 49ers wideouts will translate to a strong performance on Sunday.

“When you work that hard, good things are going to happen,” he said. “That’s how I feel about that.”
