Out of a league-high eight selections, Brooks, the eighth-year linebacker will be the only 49ers player headed to Hawaii. The other seven Pro Bowlers will miss the game due to injuries.
“It’s more of a special feeling for me,” Brooks told 49ers.com on Dec. 27. “You work to be considered as an elite player in the NFL and in any level that you play. It’s being recognized now. I feel like I’m an elite guy, so it feels good to know other people are watching.”
