Twice on third-down attempts during the third quarter, Kaepernick found Baldwin for gains. On the first occurence, they connected for 15 yards to convert 3rd-and-9. The key playpushed San Francisco's offense into enemy territory and paved the way for Kaepernick's 12-yard touchdown toss to tight end
The two receptions were Baldwin's first in a 49ers uniform. Acquired from the Kansas City Chiefs late in the preseason, he was inactive for Weeks 1, 2 and 3 of the regular season.
"He caught the skinny post and then he caught a slant as well," Jim Harbaugh said of Baldwin postgame Thursday night. "It was good to see him out there and compete. Have a good feeling about him."
