Mangini to Coach TEs, Reggie Davis Reassigned

Jim Harbaugh confirmed multiple reports that surfaced Wednesday morning, the first day of media obligations at the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine.

INDIANAPOLIS – Jim Harbaugh confirmed multiple reports that surfaced Wednesday morning, the first day of media obligations at the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine.

Senior offensive consultant Eric Mangini will serve as the 49ers tight ends coach in 2014. Reggie Davis, the club’s tight ends coach for the past three seasons, will become the assistant offensive line coach where he’ll work alongside veteran position coach Mike Solari.

Davis will replace Tim Drevno, who was hired to coach the offensive line at USC. Also, Ejiro Evero is moving to defensive assistant, taking over for Peter Hansen who returned to coach at Stanford earlier this offseason.
