49ers.com offers a week-long update on how the 49ers are using their time during the bye week.

Judging from the posts on their various social media accounts, members of the San Francisco 49ers are enjoying the bye week. 

San Francisco’s veterans are resting, spending time with their families and allowing themselves to take time off before the final eight regular season games left on the schedule. Young players are taking advantage of “opportunity practices” being held at 49ers headquarters.

Here’s a look at the highlights from the team’s social media posts.

FRIDAY

Eric Reid and Jonathan Goodwin took their families out for Halloween, while Vance McDonald visited his hometown.


THURSDAY

Joe Staley enjoyed a food discovery.




Michael Crabtree offered another update on his rehab work.




Rookie long snapper Kevin McDermott decided to lead the charge on bringing a Waffle House to San Jose.





WEDNESDAY


Rookie wide receiver Chuck Jacobs made good use of the bye week by visiting his dentist.


Starting nose tackle Glenn Dorsey has played back-to-back weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in a win over the Arizona Cardinals. The veteran defensive lineman shared how he’s enjoying the time away.




Special teams ace C.J. Spillman ended his first day off by looking for help on “Grand Theft Auto.”




TUESDAY



Donte Whitner enjoyed his trip to London so much, he decided to stay in England following the team’s 42-10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.




Fourth-year running back Anthony Dixon flew over to New York, but also let it be known how excited he was for the start of the NBA regular season.




All-Pro linebacker NaVorro Bowman treated himself to a big meal on his first day off.



Starting cornerback Tarell Brown flew back home to Texas to spend time with his family.





Rookie running back Marcus Lattimore shared his appreciation for everyone who acknowledged his 22nd birthday.
