The San Francisco 49ers are hosting open auditions for the opportunity to join the 49ers 2012 Gold Rush Squad. The Gold Rush are one of the NFL’s premiere performance groups. Preliminary auditions will be held on Saturday, March 31 at Maples Pavilion at Stanford University. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. and auditions will start promptly at 11:00 a.m.
Applicants will be required to learn a short dance combination taught by a professional choreographer and perform that routine in a group in front of a panel of judges. Applicants will be judged on dance ability, crowd appeal, showmanship and individual applications. At the end of the preliminary audition, a group of finalists will be selected.
Finalists selected on March 31 must be available for a finals prep class, interview and final dance audition during the week of April 1 – April 6.
Those interested in auditioning should click here to submit information in order to receive the formal application. All applications and application fees must be received, along with a 5x7 photo, by March 28, 2012.
