Channeling film character Willy Wonka, PepsiCo has packaged 49 gold cans in specially marked Pepsi and Diet Pepsi packs sold in Northern California stores.
They’re meant to be found only by 49ers fans.
Like Wonka’s golden ticket, the cans can be used for amazing adventures: VIP tailgates, behind-the-scenes stadium tours – ooh, what could happen along the way? – and opportunities to pal around with current and former 49ers players.
Look for the aluminum now and until Oct. 5.
The “Here’s to a Golden Era” campaign between PepsiCo and the 49ers, which announced joining forces on July 30, is a starting point for the brands’ strengthening relationship, while also celebrating the farewell season at Candlestick Park. PepsiCo is slated to be the exclusive non-alcoholic beverage and snack provider at Levi’s® Stadium, when the team’s new home opens for the 2014 season.
