Chris Culliver Twitter Q&A: Superhero Envy, Loud Stadiums and Respect for Calvin Johnson

Posted Nov 13, 2014

The San Francisco 49ers cornerback fielded questions from Twitter, sharing his thoughts on his nickname, who the best receiver in the NFL is and what superhero he'd like to be.

You asked and cornerback Chris Culliver answered.

Culliver, who has recorded 26 tackles, a fumble recovery and an interception in eight games this year, was our guest on this week’s 1-on-1 interview. He also took time to answer your #AskCully questions on Twitter.

CULLIVER: It’s kind of funny that you ask that. I’d probably say Gambit. He throws the flaming (playing) cards that blow up. When I was younger, I used to like him a lot. Everybody else liked Wolverine, you know, the main characters. But I liked the cool guys.

CULLIVER: A lot of people might be mad, but I’m from Philly, so I was an Eagles fan.

CULLIVER: Everybody has a lot of different games, but probably (Detroit Lions WR) Calvin Johnson. He just brings a lot to the table. He has a different kind of strength and power. It’s the respect factor.

CULLIVER: New Orleans; that was the loudest to me.

CULLIVER: Score for my team. Just making a play and trying to help my team in any way possible. That interception was big because it gave us momentum heading into the end of the half.

CULLIVER: Eli Manning.

CULLIVER: Eric Reid is a good player. He’s going to continue to grow. Being young and playing in his rookie year, I think he was a Pro Bowler. I have nothing but respect for him. He comes in every day, handles his business and I see the growth in him. It’s going to be fun to see him over the next few years.

CULLIVER: Cully or Cully in the house.
