Carlos Rogers Inactive for 49ers-Packers Playoff

Posted Jan 5, 2014

The 49ers and Packers each announced their inactives 90 minutes prior to kickoff, and the starting cornerback was among them.

One hamstring was good enough to go. The other was not.

Cornerback Carlos Rogers was deemed inactive on Sunday afternoon, and fellow defensive back Eric Wright was slated to help fill his void in the 49ers defense.

San Francisco and the host Green Bay Packers each announced their seven inactive players prior to the teams' Wild Card playoff opener.

Rogers was unable to practice this week after suffering his injury in the 49ers Week 17 win at Arizona. He and Wright were deemed "questionable" entering the postseason.

Wright, who will help man the slot in Rogers' stead, endured his own hamstring injury during practice. He was announced as a starter before kickoff.

San Francisco announced the following inactives:

CB Carlos Rogers

TE Derek Carrier

LB Nick Moody

G Ryan Seymour

DT Quinton Dial

G Joe Looney

WR Jon Baldwin

Green Bay announced the following inactives:

LB Clay Matthews

QB Scott Tolzien

WR Chris Harper

CB Jumal Rolle

LB Nate Palmer

G Lane Taylor

G J.C. Tretter
