49ers Visit Tottenham Hotspur Football Club

Posted Oct 21, 2013

On day one of their stay in England, San Francisco's players joined forces with a Premier League team -- and 75 local school children -- to trade instruction on their respective sports.

ENFIELD, ENGLAND -- Colin Kaepernick said in jest that he "wasn't too good with" his feet as a kid, so he stuck with football. And Patrick Willis joked that he was too busy playing kickball when he was younger to pick up soccer.

But both Kaepernick and Willis -- as well as all of their 49ers teammates -- were playing Europe's most popular sport on Monday, the team's first day in the United Kingdom.

On Sunday, San Francisco plays the Jacksonville Jaguars. On Monday, the 49ers played some soccer with 75 local school children and members of the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. The team also taught some basic football skills to both parties, too.

The 49ers shared some of their favorite moments with the kids and the Premier League team via their social media accounts.
