49ers Mike Iupati, Tarell Brown Inactive for MNF

Posted Nov 25, 2013

San Francisco and Washington announced its idle players 90 minutes in advance of "Monday Night Football."

The 49ers will be without three starting players for their "Monday Night Football" matchup against Washington.

Left guard Mike Iupati (knee), cornerback Tarell Brown (ribs) and defensive tackle Ray McDonald (ankle) were unable to practice this week because of injury. As a result, all three were made inactive by San Francisco 90 minutes prior to kickoff.

Iupati had made 58 straight starts to begin his NFL career, and his absence will be felt along the offensive line. Teammates expressed confidence, however, in his veteran replacement, Adam Snyder.

Starting in place of Brown in the defensive backfield will be Tramaine Brock, who signed a four-year contract extension with the team on Friday. Expect Demarcus Dobbs and Tony Jerod-Eddie to share snaps at McDonald's tackle spot.
