BIOGRAPHY

Gold Rush Captain

Nationality? African American, Japanese, and Irish.

Current Occupation: High school Academic Counselor

Education: I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, and recently obtained my Masters in Counseling and Students Services and PPS Credential.

Guilty Pleasures: My guilty pleasure would have to be sweets. I must admit I have a big sweet tooth and the way to my heart is through my stomach.

Best workout: My best workout starts with a long bike ride and ends with running up and down the stairs at our local football stadium.

The best advice that I would give to aspiring Gold Rush cheerleader: Be persistent and not give up until you achieve your ultimate goal. Most importantly, give a 110% in whatever you do, relax during auditions, be confident, and always have fun.

Biggest thrill: My biggest thrill would have to be the first time I stepped out on the field at Levi’s Stadium, and experiencing cheering in front of thousands of 49er fans at the new stadium for the first time.

One thing most people would be surprised to learn about you: I know American Sign Language. Besides knowing American Sign Language, something else that people would be surprised to know about me is that if I hadn’t gone to school to be an academic advisor, I would have gone to school to be a marine biologist with the emphasis being in deep see ecology. Since the ocean covers about 71% of the Earth's surface it always fascinated me on how animals of the deep live in the dark, cold, and high pressured environments. Let’s just say I watch a lot of animal planet.

Favorite part about Gold Rush: My favorite part about Gold Rush would have to be Jr. Gold Rush. I absolutely love working with all of the little kiddos. Seeing how the girls look up to us as role models makes me fall back in love with dancing all over again.
