Career goal:
I would like to go back to school and get a PhD in educational technology and teach at a college or university.

Education background (graduated or currently studying):
B.S. in computer science and M.A. in instructional technology

Future educational goals:
My future educational goal is to obtain a PhD in educational technology.  Every day is a learning opportunity for me and my days are filled with reading and listening to podcasts.

What you like best about the 49ers:
There are many things I like about the 49ers, and at every 49ers event I find one more thing I love about the organization. I especially like the fact that the organization is passionate about giving back to the community. When I attended Celebrity Winter Fest at Lake Tahoe this year, I had the opportunity to see the direct impact the team has on community organizations.

Challenge that you have overcome: 
One major challenge I had to overcome was making the big move to California!  I have a very close family who are all in North Carolina. Deciding to make a decision to further my career and move to California was very challenging. I overcame these challenges by staying in communication with my family everyday through phone, email, and Skype!

Favorite mistake:
It’s really hard to label something I’ve done in my life as a mistake because I'm shaped into the person I am today because of the many decisions I’ve made including my mistakes.

Guilty pleasures:
Facebook stalking my little sister!   I’m always trying to find out what’s going on in her life because sometimes she is “too cool” to share with me, so I go right to Facebook and find out. 

Hobbies (outside of dance):
I don’t have a hobby outside of dance. If I’m not dancing for the 49ers, I’m salsa dancing almost every day of the week.

Most adventurous thing you have done:
I’m pretty adventurous, but if I can say the most adventurous thing I’ve done in my life, it would have to be skydiving.

Most proud of:
I’m most proud of my mother. After she put all of her daughters through college, she went back to earn her Bachelor’s degree while working fulltime and continuing to be a fulltime mom. I’m her biggest fan.

Dance/performance experience:
I have four years of salsa dance performance experience and three years of jazz.

Most memorable moment as a Gold Rush member:
My most memorable moment as a Gold Rush member was attending my first Junior Gold Rush practice. As I was running to our group to perform for the Junior Gold Rush, one of the little girls shouted, “Go Erica, we love you”. As a rookie member, I didn’t realize they knew me, and that made my day!

Best word that describes you:
The best word to describe me would be colorful-animated-fun-energized-loving.

I wish I could:
I wish I could speak another language fluently. It always impresses me when people can speak two languages.

I break out and dance every time I hear “OMG,” by Usher.
