Viewers Play For Points, Which Have No Cash Value
49ers.com offers an interactive television game the ‘49ers Game Plan’, which presents event prediction questions to registered participants ('users') for the accumulation of Points. The following definition of the game Rules refer to the accumulation of Points only, under which no consideration has been offered by the user.
All correct predictions win Points which have no cash value, are not redeemable or transferable, and are used purely for entertainment and 49ers Game Plan game play purposes.
General 49ers Game Plan Rules
Beginning on September 10th, login to to see upcoming professional football episodes that are part of the 49ers Game Plan game offered through 49ers.com. Participation in the 49ers Game Plan is completely free to the user, but does require registration and activation of a player account. Registration is limited to one user registration per person. Registrants are required to provide a valid e-mail, which may be used to validate registration and notify registrants of any prizes which they may become entitled to. Additional restrictions on the eligibility of users to win prizes as part of related contests are detailed here.

49ers Game Plan will present users with a variety of opportunities to predict the outcome of future professional football events. The total number and frequency will vary from game to game.
For all 49ers Game Plan questions, each possible outcome has specific number of points in which users can win if their submitted answer is determined to be correct and accepted by 49ers.com. The number of points available to be awarded will be disclosed with the question and the number of points may vary for each possible answer. A user's point balance will not be affected by submitting an answer which is determined to be incorrect, or for late submissions.
All predictions that are received by 49ers Game Plan servers after the cutoff time (blackout period), as determined by 49ers.com, will be considered 'Late' and ineligible to win points if correct regardless as to whether a 'Rejected' status indicator was posted to the user's screen.
The user is solely responsible for all answers submitted accidentally or erroneously. Once an answer is submitted, users may not change, revise or cancel their answer.
Although every effort is made to ensure that information in the 49ers Game Plan game accurately depicts the actual events of professional football games, it is to be used as a guide only. In the event of any information in incorrect, 49ers.com assumes no liability for the typing, transmission and/or evaluation errors. In particular, 49ers.com reserves its right to correct obvious errors, even after the event.
The website will maintain a leader board that can be viewed by all users, and which will be updated as the game progresses. This leader board may not represent the actual, real-time status of all users point balances and therefore does not represent the final or official results of the game until verified and confirmed by 49ers.com.
When an answer is selected it will appear in the user's History section with a 'pending' status. The answer is accepted only after 49ers.com has confirmed it via internet, at which point its status will change from 'pending' to 'accepted'. In the event of a dispute over the time when a prediction was placed, the time when the prediction was registered by the 49ers.com server shall govern.
If a prediction is declared 'cancelled' or 'rejected', there will be no change made to the user's point balance.
49ers.com may refuse to accept submitted answers without providing a reason.
49ers.com may choose to grade a prediction opportunity as 'cancelled'. The decision to cancel a prediction opportunity resides solely with 49ers.com. For example, if information regarding an answer becomes known and the result of the prediction opportunity can be easily determined by users, 49ers.com reserves the right to cancel the question. |
